I spent my first working years behind a desk. I left because I wanted to build things I could put my hand on. I learned masonry here in San Jose under an experienced mason, starting with mixing mortar and cleaning out joints, and that slow start taught me how a wall should go together before I ever laid one.
We've been doing masonry work in San Jose since 2013, and we're best known for careful work on older brick, from worn mortar joints to tired chimneys. Most of our calls come from owners of older homes who've spotted crumbling joints or a cracked wall, and from people planning a new wall, walkway or outdoor kitchen. I want every repair to fix the cause without trading one problem for another, like a mortar harder than the old brick that ends up damaging it. Plain answers before we start
Before work starts, you hear what we know, what we don't know yet and what the city may ask for. If a permit is needed, we check with the city's permit office, apply for it and meet the inspector.
